I don't think that teachers actually make that much of an impact on kids. They generally are just babysitters handing out homework and requiring students to memorize unimportant materials that won't help them later on in life. Most parents see through the facade of teachers and want their children to be taught more and better than what the teachers are doing now. Teachers should be required to put in more effort and time. They should be more scrutinized and be made to teach kids more things that will help them in their academic career. Teaching them only on how to react isn't what school is supposed to be about.
